COMMUNITY SERVICE LISTINGS

Students: the activities you may participate in for the HMBHS 35 hour Community Service requirement are not limited to the positions on this list. If you tutor or do something for your church or school or other non-profit organization, chances are the hours count. Anything you've done since your first day of school in your freshman year through May 1st of your senior year qualifies. Follow this link for more details about the program.

Join us for our monthly Family Harvest food distribution! Come on out to our warehouse in beautiful Pillar Point Harbor (214 Harvard Avenue) and pitch in with a dozen other volunteers. We provide fresh healthy produce and other foods to over 70 families in a four hour period, and we can use your help. You should be able to lift 25 pounds, but there are no special skills required.

The program runs from 2-5:30 pm on the third Thursday of every month, and you can volunteer for all or part of that time.

Interested in earning community service by making HMBHS more beautiful?? Come help out on Campus Beautification days and earn hours! The 2018-19 dates are as follows - 9/8, 3/2, 4/6, 5/11, 6/1. Campus Beautification will be from 8am-2pm

Childcare at the Community United Methodist Church

On Sunday Mornings we need students to watch the preschoolers during our church service and small group times.

This would be 4 hours of volunteer service a week for up to 2 students.

Alternatively, if any students are looking for work we can pay one student $15 an hour. So that would be $30 total for 9-11am.

Generally we have about 4 kids in the nursery at any given time. Sometimes there aren't any, and the students can get paid or receive their hours.
