Half Moon Bay High School is a hosts SAT School Day for CUSD students. The exams will be offered on the following dates:
- PSAT - March 17th, 2026
- Registration deadline: February 13th, 2026
- Payment deadline: March 10th, 2026
- SAT - March 18th, 2026
- Registration deadline: February 13th, 2026
- Payment deadline: March 11th, 2026
REGISTRATION
In order to register for one or more of these exams at HMBHS, you must complete this REGISTRATION FORM. You must also submit payment before the deadline, which is 1 week before the exam. See instructions on how to submit payment.
Because HMBHS hosts the College Board exams for CUSD students only, you will not find these dates on the College Board website. Registration and payment for the exams at HMBHS must be completed through HMBHS, not the College Board website.
Payment: After registering for the SAT or PSAT Exam, please submit payment via check or cash to Ms. Acosta in the front office. Make the check out to HMBHS. In the memo line, please write "SAT" or "PSAT" - [student name]. Payment must be received no later than 1 week before the exam, otherwise your registration will be canceled. No refunds (exception: extenuating circumstances).
- SAT = $70 fee
- PSAT = $35 fee
FEE REDUCTION
If you feel you qualify for a fee reduction, you must complete this form by 1 week prior to the registration deadline. There will be no exceptions made to the deadline. You will be notified via your school email whether or not you qualify for the fee reduction.
There are two ways students can qualify for the fee reduction:
(1) by meeting the Income Eligibility Guidelines or
(2) due to extenuating circumstances
Note that if you qualify for the fee reduction, we may request documentation that confirms your eligibility.

NMSC® is an independent, not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance. NMSC conducts the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an annual academic competition for recognition and college scholarships.
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which is co-sponsored by College Board and NMSC, is the route of entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program. To qualify, students must be a Junior in high school and their PSAT score must be in the top 1% of all PSAT test- takers in their state.
